Internship at the Bunkyo Educational Board

Working Working Working...
I worked 13 hours for two straight days.... It's against the contract dude...
sore izen ni jinken ni hanshiteiru toiu giwakuga...

But anyways...
I got to be involved in a project where we are working for this really big and famous firm (the sad thing is I can't tell you who..). My task is not interesting, but just the thought of me being involved in working for such a client kind of excited me today. yay.

I'm going away to Jaipur with 7 other trainees for the weekend (I would prefer to go alone, but well, I was invited so why refuse?), so I am very looking forward to finishing up the week.

a- tsukareta------!!!

Getting Sick...
Well, finally it has come...

On my first week, I was really surprised that I stayed perfectly healthy (after hearing so many stories from many of my Japanese friends about the health problems they had in India). I haven't even had any trouble with the dreadly diarrhea... To tell you the truth, I was starting to feel like I was the man with unmeasurable toughness, haha.

But actually there had been some moments where I felt rather uneasy about my conditions. Last Thursday when I came back from work, I felt really tired and my whole body was "darui". In bed, I think I had a bad fever... So on that night I tried really hard to sweat in sleep by covering myself up in a sleeping bag provided by my roommate. Thanks to all the smelly sweating I experienced overnight, I was able to avoid skipping work the next day. And I felt perfectly fine after that.

But then again, this time, the same kind of fever started attacking me on Saturday night. I guess this time, I didn't take much care in fighting it cuz I attended 3 parties in total from Friday to Saturday, haha stupid... So yeah, during this party with my co-workers (mostly trainees) on Saturday night, I felt like I was gonna faint... I had the worst headache and felt chilly all over...

After coming home, I just stayed in bed until 10pm the next day.... I still had some headache left when I went out of bed to grab some food, but after sleeping for another day, I think I feel a lot better. In fact I am in office right now working as usual, and typing up this entry. Hope my condition gets better soon since I am going on a trip to Jaipur this weekend. I am so looking forward to it!

So no needs to worry. I better start showing my bosses that I can work so I can be allocated to more interesting projects... The one I am working on right now is like "arubaito" in Japan...

Working working
Today is my fourth day of my internship. I've been getting used to things pretty fast, and I am getting along with other trainees and co-workers pretty well at this point.

I cannot talk much about the project I am working for because of security reasons, but basically I am profiling information of tons of Japanese firms into an excel file. Really boring, but since I have approached my bosses to gather info about this project I have a better understanding of my jobrole now and can think more about how I can contribute in diffeernt ways.

I really want to write in Japanese... Hopefully, I will get to go to an Internet cafe this weekend where I can connect my own laptop I brang from home, so I can write in Japanese and update everything I have done in India so far.

One more thing to add. During the weekdays I will have to be sneaking around using the company email account to get in touch with ppl. So to all of you, please email me to the below email address. I would be more than happy to hear from all of you!!! (I can read Japanese so you don't have to write me in English!)

My email address: [my first name].[my last name]@evalueserve.com

If you have sent an email to me to my hotmail account after my departure from Japan, please resend your emails to this address. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu!!

Working in India
Hello everyone, and sorry for not being able to update my blog for such a long time.
There are so many things to talk about, but let me just say beforehand that the environment I am in right now has the worst access to any kind of communication means for me to get in touch with my friends and family....

First of all, in internet cafes, I can't read nor write Japanese. And the connection speed is darn slow,,,, Second, in the company I am working in, I cannot access my private email account because of security reasons... The security policies in my company are so strict that I am starting to get really annoyed...

So this is my excuse for not being able to update my blog or get in touch with all my friends in Japan and the US... Sorry guys, I will try to find some way of contacting you on a regular basis...

Ok, just a little about what I have been doing since my arrival.
Arrived on Thusday the 15th and I stayed over an AIESEC member's house for two nights. The family I stayed with was so nice!

I moved into a flat where I will be living with 5 other trainees on Saturday. The living condition is not so bad except for the fact that we get power cuts and water cuts at least once a day.... I went sightseeing with the other trainees to Delhi on Sunday and it was really fun. I will upload photos when I have the chance to.

I started work on Monday. The office is really new and nice, with tons of employees working. I realized that Evalueserve (the company I am working for) is a really huge company. I immediately got to join this project where I get to do market research of Japanese firms. The work is boring so far, but I hope to get some more interesting ones as I go along.

Ok, I guess I will stop there, Next time, I hope I can write in Japanese.
Namaste---

Off to India
