Trip to Taiwan (Day 1 & Day 2)
I just arrived home from my trip to Taiwan this afternoon. Man, it was an awesome journey!

I will write about the details below since Hermosa has told me to write a report on my trip as homework, hehe.

Here are the pictures!!
You can check the pics along as you read the entry below.

[Day 1, Sep.22nd] (Pics #2 to #18)
Arrived at the airport around 5pm. Immigration process took too long but finally got to meet Stacy's brother who took me to downtown Taipei by bus. Got to the city around 8pm where I met Stacy, then the two of us headed to a restaurant where all my friends were supposed to gather for the night.

I was so happy to see my friends again. Hermosa, Ray, and Lance were there, and we just hugged each other. We enjoyed our reunion with delicious ¾®äÆÊñ!!
Then ChiaWen joined our group, and we decided to change places. Went to a lounge (a bar with nice comfy sofas) for all-you-can-drink-alcohol, yey!

I was so happy that I could spend the time together with my friends that I kept on drinking and drinking. Yvonne and Eric joined in later on in the night. Altogether, we had 8ppl. I was really happy since I didn't expect such a big welcome! We played games, chatted, took pics until 3am in the morining. By then, I was really drunk, and actually threw up a few times...

I headed back home with Stacy who would accomodate me for the night, I was dizzy and was not aware where we were going,,,, But somehow we arrived back home and I fell asleep on the bed real quick.

[Day2, Sep. 23rd] (Pics #19 to #71)
HANG OVER!!
Perfect way to start off my first full day in Taiwan, yeah...
But I felt better after taking a shower and it was ok for me to wake up late since all my other friends were tired from a long hard week of work.

So from noon, Lance, Ray, Stacy, her brother, and I went out for lunch and ate beef noodles near Stacy's house. It was delicious! Btw I really really enjoyed all the Taiwanese food I ate during this trip! I think I will talk about almost every single dish I had in Taiwan since eating was one of my main purposes. After grabbing bubble tea for dessert (oh I love them, but they're so expensive in Japan & US..), Ray, Lance, Yvonne, and I went out on Ray's car up the north.

First we went to the Beitou Hotspring area (¿·ËÌÅê²¹Àô) where we looked at some natural hotsprings near by with smokes of sulfur blowing out from the holes on the ground. The weather was bad, so we could not have a clear view of anything, but it was interesting. Very similar to ones in Japan.
I also tried this betting game (a game played with 4 dice) with a sausage vendor, and won 4 sausages for the price of one!! The sausage had delicious sauce on it and had cartilage inside which made it all the more yummy for me! Satisfied:)

After that, we went up the Youmei mountains (ÍÛÌÀ»³). The whole mountanous area consisted a national park, so we went around driving to places where we could walk around and have a nice view. Unfortunately due to the weather, what we mostly saw were white white clouds that made it hard for us to even drive up the mountains. But sometimes the clouds cleared away to give us a really nice view of the mountains and the scenary around it. We stopped at a place called ú²Å·Ö¾ where we could see a flat clearing with hiking paths all around. We all walked around for a while enjoying the view and had a picnic with some biscuits and dried snacks we bought on our way.

When we finished looking around the mountains, we went back down into the city to check out the night market. The 3 guys I was with took me to Shilin (»ÎÎÓ) Night Market which is considered to be the biggest night market in Taipei. Well well, I ate like a pig! Yvonne bought me some sticky rice with pork blood on it with some peanut toppings, which seemed really strange to me at first, but after eating it, I thought it was ok. I also had some oyster noodles at a really famous place called °¤½¡ÌÍÀþ. It was noodles with soy sauce soup which had meat intestines inside. It was sooo delicious! Then I had some beef tongue patties, as well as tomatoes and dried fruits speared with a stick.
Man, I had a lot!

After finishing up with the night market, Ray, Lance, and I drove over to Taipei 101, a huge shopping and office tower built pretty recently. It is regarded as the world's tallest builiding as of now. We joined Stacy and Hermosa there who were having dinner at the food court in Taipei 101. I had a small dinner there again, this time some oily chicken with beef broth and vegetables.

Hermosa offered to take us all up to her office on the 52nd floor since she works for an HR-related company which has an office inside Taipei 101. So we went through the amazingly tight security without any problem, and broke in (hehe) Hermosa's office. The view from the 52nd floor was beautiful! Check out my photo I took from there! (Pic, #60) It was a really cool experience since we would never have been able to go into the office if it weren't for Hermosa.

Then, we went around the office and shopping district around Taipei 101. I thought it was a really nice place since there were so many modern buildings around with water fountains, outdoor cafes, benches, etc. Hermosa also showed us the largest book store in Asia, and I thought it was cool although most of the books were in Taiwanese/Chinese..

We decided to part pretty early at night on this day since we were going to gather early in the morning the next day. So I took the MRT (subway) home with Stacy and went to bed pretty early.

Going to Taiwan!
I've decided to go on a trip to Taiwan from Sep. 22nd to Sep. 27th!

I actually wanted to go to other countries as well since this is my last summer vacation as a student. I was thinking of going to south-east Asia (Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam) or joining my senpai on a trip to Mexico besides this Taiwan trip. But I couldn't cope with all those plans since I became broke during the month of August,,, I spent too much money chilling in Tokyo and going on small trips in the Kanto area..

So I've compromised my greed by choosing only Taiwan as a foreign destination for this summer. It was the best place for me to choose since the plane tickets are pretty cheap and I have a lot of friends there who can show me around.

The main purpose of this trip is to see my Taiwanese buddies whom I met in India! I've emailed all the guys I became friends with during my internship and they've all given me a reply with the warmest welcome. Thanks so much!

I'll write about the details when I come back. For now, I just can't wait to see you all, Hermosa, Stacy, Lance, Huiling, Ray!!!
